Katie Fey

MS CCC-SLP — Owner

Growing up with an older brother with Down syndrome, Katie’s exposure and interest to the field of speech language pathology started at a young age. She always enjoyed working with her brother on his “speech homework” and participating in sibling based therapy. After growing up in Spokane, Washington, Katie attended Washington State University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English with a focus on Rhetoric and Professional Writing. She then attended a Post-Baccalaureate program at Portland State University to earn all the prerequisite requirements to attend a graduate program in speech-language pathology. Katie earned her Graduate Program at Pacific University and completed many pediatric based clinical rotations. After graduating, she immediately started her career by completing her Clinical Fellowship in Pediatric Rehabilitation at the Children’s Center at Legacy Salmon Creek. She has continued her training by taking many continuing education courses specific to pediatric speech and language development. CommuniKate was born in 2017 as a way to better serve children and their families in the community. Currently, Katie lives in the Felida neighborhood of Vancouver, Washington with her husband, two boys, and their cat, Cooper.
